Farewell, Friends

This weekend has been one for the books. My friends reading this will probably laugh when I share the quote, simply because of my repetition and passion for it; " True friendship is how you don't need to talk every single day, for weeks even, or see each other often, but when you do, it's as if you didn't even stop and had seen each other the day before."

The last few days have reflected this meaning with great clarity. Laughing until you can't breathe, waking up the next morning with a hangover and stiff stomach muscles is a blessing I definitely don't take for granted. Champagne, tears, kisses, drama, vodka, love, mustaches, red wine, La Vita, Crowded, Tiger, braai, hilarity, Jeiger, blessed, friendship, are just a few words to describe the events. Unfortunately I couldn't see everyone I love and care for, understandably the world does not revolve around me, this does not diminish my affection for them not one bit.

Thank you everyone for coming through, I am going to miss you all terribly, not long though and we'll be drinking wine and sharing our stories that another year our Lord has so amazingly blessed us with.

Double Digit goodbyes

So, tomorrow is the last double digit number in my countdown to leaving on a Jet plane. I took the liberty to snap a shot of this momentous occasion.

I feel more excited today and less apprenhensive, although in half an hour it could be the other way around. Its like a lucky packet, I get one every morning and I anxiously await the contents. I bought a suitcase, yipeee, and I collect my Visa tomorrow, making things very REAL ! My farwell is this weekend with all my favourite people. Cant wait.

The countdown begins

My first post, my first state of mind. Exciting, can only mean the beginning of something awesome! For one, I love my title, I find it witty and endearing and it plays on words perfectly, if you only realized this now after I have explained it, then you need to sharpen up!

T-minus 12 days until take off, that's 288 hours and some change. Eeeek. Mixed emotions
